I need to watch two or three black-and-white movies just to cleanse my color palette. It wasn't as bad as the reviews said, but wow, my eyes nearly bled from a chromatic overdose.
Darn it, now you've got me curious. Whether the movie is good or bad has become less important to me than finding out if I can "handle" the sensory overload everyone's talking about. I'm actually morbidly curious to find out how it will affect me.
I'm glad it's less important, Mike, because the movie is not good. It wasn't as bad as the reviews say, but the reviews are scathing. Save your money, or go see Iron Man again.
For me, it is definitely the money thing. Even if my wife doesn't go, just for my son and I at the matinee we are talking $13 for the two tickets. Add to that drinks, popcorn and candy - another $12 to $15 bucks and we're in for the cost of the DVD. For that money, a film has got to be awesome!
I wear many "masks." I'm a 59-year-old retired math teacher, husband, comic book creator, cartoonist, and father. I like the last "mask" the best of all!

On the other hand, Peter David is comparing it to Blade Runner on his blog. Ahead of its time, he says.
